Alina Huang is a Year 13 student. Last summer, she conducted research through the UCSB Research Mentorship Program, examining how NLP model design shapes algorithmic bias in AI curricula. She founded the Fair Tech Policy Lab, leading an international team to explore algorithmic bias and AI governance, and is a member of the UN AI for Good London Hub. She organized a student policy hackathon on algorithmic fairness. Alina hopes to study technology, ethics, and public policy at university.
